Get answers to common questions about Signature facial with microdermabrasion.
Most clients experience mild scratching or vibration sensations, not pain. Clinicians adjust suction and pressure for comfort, and topical soothing serums minimize irritation. Expect brief redness that fades within hours. Discuss sensitivity or numbing options during consultation.
Treatment plans vary; typically a series of 4–6 sessions spaced two to four weeks apart yields noticeable improvement in texture and pigmentation. Maintenance sessions every 2–3 months can preserve results. A consultation personalizes frequency based on skin condition.
Ideal candidates have photo-damaged skin, hyperpigmentation, rough texture, sallow tone, fine acne scarring, or seborrheic keratosis, and are not suitable for chemical peels. Clients with active infections or certain medical conditions may be screened out.
You may notice immediate brightness and softer texture with mild redness or sensitivity for 24–48 hours. Use gentle skincare, sun protection, and avoid harsh exfoliants while skin heals. Full results improve over several weeks with recommended aftercare.
Microdermabrasion is low-risk but can cause temporary redness, sensitivity, mild swelling, or pinpoint bleeding in rare cases. Clients with rosacea, active acne, or certain conditions may experience increased irritation; pre-screening and proper post-care reduce potential risks.
Avoid recent chemical peels, waxing, or aggressive exfoliation for at least two weeks. Discontinue retinoids and strong topical actives as advised. Arrive with clean skin, disclose medications and history, and follow pre-treatment instructions provided during consultation.
