Get answers to common questions about Acne and hyperpigmentation facial treatment.
The plasma shower creates controlled non-thermal plasma at the skin surface to disinfect pores, reduce acne-causing bacteria, and stimulate gentle skin renewal. Treatment is non-ablative, typically painless, and designed to clear pores without downtime or peeling.
Most clients report only a mild tingling or warming sensation. Because the plasma is non-thermal and non-ablative, treatments are generally painless and require no anesthesia. We monitor comfort throughout and adjust settings for sensitive skin.
Recommended course varies by severity but typically 4–6 sessions spaced one to two weeks apart. Many clients see visible improvement after the first few treatments; maintenance sessions every 4–8 weeks help sustain results.
Side effects are minimal: possible mild redness, temporary dryness, or light tightness for 24–48 hours. No open wounds or scabbing occur. We provide post-care guidance and recommend sun protection to prevent pigmentation.
Ideal candidates are teens and adults with oily, acne-prone skin or lingering dark spots from past breakouts. Not suitable for pregnant clients, those with active severe cystic acne, or certain medical implants—consultation required.
Before treatment avoid strong acids, retinoids, and recent chemical peels. Afterward use gentle cleanser, hydrating moisturizer, and broad-spectrum SPF. Avoid heavy exfoliation and direct sun for several days; follow your therapist's tailored homecare plan.
